United Methodist Women

There are two women’s circles in the Pikeville United Methodist Church. The circles meet in the homes of members or at the church depending on who is hostess for that month.

The Sonshine Circle

Meets the first Thursday of each month (except July and August) at 1:00 p.m.

The Friendship Circle

Meets the second Thursday of each month (except July and August) at 7:00 p.m.

Each meeting consists of a time of fellowship, devotions, a program dealing with current issues of interest to the women, prayer time, and refreshments. The UM Women are interested in Missions both at home and in the world. They contribute time and money to missions such as the local Abuse Shelter, The Methodist Children’s Home, and worldwide missions through the United Methodist Church. They also work with the local schools to provide clothing and other necessities for the children.

The circles are always open to new members. If anyone is interested in joining a circle, they can call the church office for more information.
