A: 8:45 and 11:00 a.m. Sunday school is at 9:45 a.m.
Q: What are your services like?
A: The Early Encounter is a praise and worship service that meets each Sunday morning at 8:45 in the large meeting room of the Power Building. This service features contemporary music provided by the Early Encounter Praise Team, a time of prayer, and an inspiring message by Rev. Willard Knipp.
The Morning Worship service meets in the Main Sanctuary and begins at 11:00 a.m. This service is more traditional in its orientation still focusing on our goal of spreading the message of God’s love. The music for this service encompasses a wide variety of musical styles. The Chancel Choir provides musical leadership for this service.

Q: Where are you located?
A: The Pikeville United Methodist Church is located in downtown Pikeville at 107 Main Street on the corner of Huffman Avenue and Main Street.
The church is 1.1 miles from US 23. Take exit 23. This is Hambley Boulevard. Continue on Hambley Boulevard to the third red light. Turn right onto Huffman Avenue. Drive 0.1 miles. The church is located on the left across from the city park.

Q: Where is the nursery?
A: The nursery is located on the upper level of the Education Building, adjacent to the Main Sanctuary, in room 26. The nursery is available at all worship services, church wide events and many other activities.
Q: Is parking available?
A: There is plenty of free parking available at the church. Parking is available in the Church Parking Lot, the Parking Garage, and also next to the church on Huffman Avenue and Main Street. See our parking page for more details.
Q: What are your office hours?
A: The church office is open Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m but is closed daily from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for lunch.

Q: What is your snow policy?
A: On Sundays, worship will always be held for those who can gather. However, you (including teachers, choir members, etc.) are encouraged to attend only if you feel safe traveling on the roads.
Q: Do I have to be a member to participate in classes and activities?
A: No, everyone is welcome to attend any services, classes or activities here.
Q: Can I obtain services on tape?
A: Recordings of Rev. Knipp’s sermons are available on the website or by calling the church office. The church will provide you with a CD recording of the service at no charge.
Q: How often does your church observe Holy Communion?
A: Holy Communion is observed on the first Sunday of each month at both worship services. We also have special services on Christmas Eve and Maundy Thursday when Communion is served.
Q: Does your church practice “Open Communion?’
A: Yes. The invitation for Holy Communion is offered to “all who repent and intend to lead a new life.”
